Looking for a place to get away together with your friends to talk, to catch up and relax away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. If so, then The Red Farmhouse is the place for you.Located on 6.5 acres of wooded farmland on quiet, serene Guemes Island - the unspoiled San Juan Island – and just a 5-minute ferry ride from downtown Anacortes, The Red Farmhouse offers you a peaceful stay in the country. In fact, pair of bald eagles like it so much they’ve built a nest in a fir tree at the back of the property.
ACCOMMODATIONS
This four-year old Salt Box home has three bedrooms upstairs including 6 twin beds and a queen size sleeper sofa. Two inflatable twin beds are available upon request. Also, upstairs is a full bath with shower and tub. The ground floor includes a kitchen, dining area and large living room plus a half-bath with sink and toilet.
AMENITIES INCLUDE
- Beds, bedding and towels
- Full kitchen – appliances, dishes, utensils, etc.
- Local telephone
- Propane furnace
- Fireplace; plus one long-burning “presto log” for each night of your stay
- Lots of table space and seating for working on craft projects
ACTIVITIES
The Red Farmhouse is a wonderful place to kick back; visit with friends; work on your craft project; read a book; or enjoy the fresh air.
Outdoor activities include:
- Beach walking – West Beach is just a 20-minute walk away and other beach access points are within short driving distance
- Biking – the low traffic island roads are perfect for bicycling
- Kayaking – there is easy beach access for kayakers (and scuba divers)
- Anderson’s General Store at the ferry landing serves tasty breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as selling groceries, beverages and other items

RENTAL RATES AND TERMS
- High Season daily rates are $175/night with a minimum stay of 2 nights, plus a $75 cleaning fee.
- Off Season daily rates are $125/night with a minimum stay of 2 nights, plus a $75 cleaning fee.
- High Season weekly rates are $1000, plus a $75 cleaning fee.
- Off Season weekly rates are $750, plus a $75 cleaning fee.
- A deposit in the amount of your first nights stay is required to confirm your reservation.
- High Season is May 1st through October 31st.
- Off Season is November 1st through April 30th.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A 14-day notice of cancellation is required for refund of deposit.
